Undecided.

A push for Arabic classes: "Arabic is considered one of the most difficult languages for English speakers to learn, but it is increasingly essential for national security and global awareness, said Elizabeth Webb, the state's coordinator for foreign language education."

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I think learning other languages is essential, however I am not sure about the motives on this one.

Also, I believe we should teach kids english before any other language, and based on what I have seen and the kids I have talked to... we are failing. Ebonics doesn't count as either english or a second language. FOO!
