People are so naive. Please, explain. The fact is that if you asked this person to provide proof to his assertion(s), he would not be able to. I guarantee it.
Nobody wants a war. But thanks to human nature, coupled with religion, multiplied by anger, hatred and fear, we have wars.

Seperation of church and state?
So I'll give you an idea of what my friends and I are talking about this week. We are talking about marriage. Why is marriage important enough for us to talk about for an entire week? I'll tell you.
The federal government declares that we as American citizens cannot a) be married to two women simultaneously (ie: polygomy) and b) marry someone of the same sex. Keep your head on straight and listen up.
The Bill of rights:
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
How does this apply to our discussion about marriage?
a) Polygomy. It has been banned by the federal government. Do I need to explain this in detail? Must I highlight WHY this is a problem? Lets pretend I would like to have a second wife. My current wife agrees to this and we both agree that we really want this other woman in our lives, as a second wife. According to my personal religious beliefs, I should be allowed to marry this woman. Right? Wrong! Not only is it not condoned by the the federal government, it is against the law. Meaning, you will go to jail if found "guilty" of polygomy.
I see two things happening here. Not only is the federal govt getting involved where it should not be, but the catholic church and Christianity as an entity have far too much influence on our government.
b)Gay Marriage. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" -- Gay marriage is not currently legal, neither endorsed or allowed by the federal government. WHY? The government does not have the power to decide what the american citizens should believe. Right? Last time I checked we live in America, not China.
I am not a christian. I can see some of you out there staring at this text in disbelief. Brace yourself. I don't believe in god! Some of you probably want to burn me at the stake right about now. Nothing new here. The church murdered 5,000,000 women not too long ago because they were accused of being "witches" and "heretics". Anyway, back on subject.
I am not a Christian. So why do I have to abide by laws that were either established by Christians or influenced by Christians? See what I am getting at?
